The good side of having your bathroom remodeled is that it can create the bathroom of your dreams. You can have that haven of tranquility, that personal regeneration studio featuring everything you ever wanted. That’s the good side. So, what is the bad side?
All good things come to those who wait, so the saying goes. In bathroom terms with a standard job, that means you’re going to be putting up with primitive conditions for a time, while the work is done. As neat and tidy as the workers are, they may have to rip things out and do some drilling and sawing, which are going to generate plenty of dust and make a fair amount of noise. It’s enough to put some people off the idea completely – but hold on a minute. How about a 24-hour bathroom remodel?
Yes, it’s a thing. We, Baths R Us, are a bathroom remodeling company with a difference. In addition to the comprehensive but time-consuming full refits, which can be challenging but are very satisfying in the end, we offer a one-day bathroom remodel that can change your home remarkably from one day to the next.
What Can Be Achieved in a 24-Hour Bathroom Remodel?
In many cases, what needs to be achieved is relatively simple. You know what is lacking in your bathroom, and it may well be that it can be achieved very quickly. We can get that done for you. We have brilliant designers who can see at a glance what needs to be done to get things how you want them. We also have highly skilled installation staff who can get in there and transform the place without making a song and dance about it. More of a quick whistle than an opera, you might say.
It’s not actually magic, either, although it may feel like it at the time. What it really is, is a combination of having a clear vision (the customer), a realistic, achievable plan (the designer), and the determination and ability to get the job done (the installation crew). Here is a rough list of what can be accomplished with a high-speed bathroom remodel in Columbus Ohio – with Baths R Us, that is.
- Combo bathtub/shower unit installation
- Bathtub or shower installation
- Shower or bathtub surrounds
- Walk-in bathtub
- Walk-in shower
- Conversion services for your bathtub or shower
How Much Does Bathroom Addition Cost?
Adding a bathroom to your home can be quite expensive or quite reasonable, depending on the situation. If you’re building an extension, obviously that is going to cost a bit, before you even get down to what is going in there.
Bathroom demolition is another scenario that comes up from time to time, and, again, mainly with old properties, it’s a major project that is going to cost more than a few dollars.
Moving on to the less expensive options, if you’re converting an existing room, at least you’re not going to have construction costs, but you will have to get the basic plumbing aspect taken care of before you start putting your suite together.
But if you already have a bathroom and it just needs shaking up a little, then you’re a candidate for a 24-hour bathroom remodel, and that is cause for celebration.
How About a Combination Bathtub/Shower Unit?
If we are just talking about the cost of a walk-in tub or the cost of tub-to-shower conversion, these things are relatively inexpensive, and yet they can make all the difference. Sometimes what seems like a big deal is surprisingly easy to accomplish if you talk to the right people.
You know how it is when you have a problem with your car or some household device and you think it’s going to be expensive, but an expert looks at it and says no, it’s just such-and-such and it won’t cost much to fix. The feeling of relief! That’s how it can be with a bathroom remodel in Columbus. We at Baths R Us are in the business of helping people. Certainly, we can take care of a big, no-expense-spared remodeling job, but we also enjoy finding a quick solution – the right one, mind – and helping customers in that way.
The Bath-vs-Shower Debate
Some people enjoy the leisurely process of taking a long bath. It can be the time when they relax and do some good thinking.
On the other hand, there is the hit-the-ground-running aspect of the shower, where you’re in and out without further ado, spruced up and fresh as a daisy in no time. It can set the tone for the day or act as a quick recharge after work or exercise, getting you instantly in the mood for the next phase of the day.
If your bathroom currently has one or the other, you may wonder why it doesn’t have both, because other people’s bathrooms do. We can arrange that for you. We will just have to have a good look at the room and the current equipment, and our designers will come up with a cost-effective solution which in many cases can be done fast.
Mobility Issues and Other Family Concerns
It may not be any fault of the bathroom itself, but the changing needs of the users. A young family, for instance, has very different needs from a young couple, and as the years roll on there may be the safety aspect to consider, with ease of access and stability to the fore. You might be looking at the advantages of a walk-in bathtub or a different configuration for the shower unit, with grab handles around the place to keep people on their feet or get them back up there after a nice soak in the bath.
We can help with all these things and many more, so if you want to discuss what you’re concerned about and see what can be done, feel free to call us and talk it through.
Maybe it Just Needs Dressing Up
In some cases, there isn’t too much wrong with the bathroom as a whole, but it is tired and cranky. It happens inevitably over time and all it really needs is a refit of the moving parts that get all the wear and tear. We can make a big difference to a bathroom just by replacing items such as the faucets and shower head. Get rid of the shower curtain and upgrade to a glass cubicle, maybe. A new shower or bathtub surround can give the whole place a lift, so perhaps that is worth considering.
